Almost everyone has or will be affected by cancer at some point in their lives, whether it be individually or through family members and friends. Unfortunately it's something we can't seem to escape. Fighting cancer is close to the heart of casper&pearl creator, Stacey Hendrickson, whose family has been heavily affected by the disease. “My Nanna has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer, my Mum has been battling cancer for over 10 years and my Dad recently passed away after losing his fight with cancer” said Stacey.
The 19-year-old Adelaide based designer is hoping to use her strong customer base to raise over $2,500 through the ‘Sisterhood of the Travelling Shorts’ campaign. The bright pink casper&pearl shorts are one size fits all and currently travelling the country and the world wide web as they are worn and photographed by bloggers including Caitlyn of sabo skirt, Annabel of Love More and Kristal of Le Gypsy. You can buy yourself your very own travelling shorts for $60 via www.casperandpearl.com and 100% of profits will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. We're super excited to introduce you to The Hiding Tree, Rachel Burke's the latest (and not to mention amaaazing) creative baby! The Hiding Tree’s inaugural spring collection ‘Love Is a State of Mind’ is an exploration of girlhood ambition, nostalgia, and romantic idealism. Drawing inspiration from springtime drives through regional Victoria and the iconic Fleetwood Mac song ‘Rhiannon’, The Hiding Tree captures the beauty of female relationships to nature through the use of ruffles, scalloped collars, organza trims, and tulle detailing. We love the pink dress with the scalloped collar and tulle skirt, it's just absolutely perfect for Spring time!
The delightfully quirky lookbook was shot by the lovely Andrea Jankovic, styled by Georgia Rostanno and of course, directed by Rachel herself.
