British-based designer and illustrator Karen Mabon has just launched her Spring/Summer 2019 collection of illustrated silk scarves. The playfully bright collection draws inspiration from a range of ideas including the golden age of travel, training for a marathon as well as dog weddings. Each design was drawn by hand in Karen’s London studio before the scarves were printed and finished by hand in Lake Como, Italy.
Karen established her eponymous label in 2013, after attending London’s Royal College of Art, and quickly became known for her illustrative silk scarves. Each illustration tells its own story, whether that be curious creatures, nostalgia-fuelled memories or characters acting out scenes from an old, forgotten film. Her label has introduced cashmere scarves, silk sleepwear and cushions, growing into a full range of decorative pieces. Karen has also created bespoke prints and illustrations for clients such as Peter Alexander, V&A, Vogue 100, Universal Pictures, LUSH cosmetics and Anthropologie. Check out more of Karen's designs here or shop the SS19 collection online here.

BAMBAM is a small #peopleswear brand based in Madrid, Spain. Inspired by past, present, and the Millennial Way Of Life, their debut collection 'Tómbola' combines art and technology in a playful and nostalgic way. References to the late 80's and early 90's culture can be seen throughout the collection, including the bold primary colour palette and the Nintendo inspired "Gamification" print and earrings. While the influence of 20th Century Artists such as Henri Matisse and Joan Miró, is evident in their funky "Facemotiv" print. We didn't even think it was possible, but Lazzari's latest Fall/Winter collection kinda has us wishing we were back at school. Inspired by all things 'school', the dreamy collection focuses on objects, materials and symbolic references that tie the memories of childhood to the month of September in Italy and the "back to school" attitude. Erasers, pencils, notebooks and iconic bottles of glue become prints for cotton and silk shirts, while irresistible dinosaurs adorn cotton sweater dresses and viscose peter-pan collar blouses. A black polka dot dress with a white collar is the current interpretation of the smock worn in class, while the soft leather bags are excellent substitutes for school bags. The bright prints aren't the only heroes of this collection though, the finer details like the pussybows, winged shoulders, scalloped collars and of course the adorable Triceratop collars are also a massive hit in our eyes! You can shop the Fall/Winter collection in stores and online now.
Inspired by the magical depths of the big blue ocean, Mona's most recent Spring/Summer 2015 collection is a celebration of all things under the sea. Peter pan collars with embroidered sea horses, scalloped hemlines and cheeky lobster prints adorn feminine shift dresses, funky jumpsuits, chiffon blouses and high waisted mini skirts, in an array of beautiful pastel hues. And if that's not enough, designer Moriah has also created some adorable shell shaped cross body bags to match! The SS15 collection is available in the Tel-Aviv store and online via Etsy with up to 30% off selected items.
Okay, so we probably say this every time Gorman drops a new collection, but hot damn this lookbook is definitely our favourite so far! The playful Spring '15 collection invites you to kick back on Spring vacation at the Gorman hyper coloured country club - where the air is crisp, the flowers are in full bloom and the days softly meld into the nights. In true Gorman style, the quirky collection features exclusive patterns and prints including dalmation spots on palazzo pants and wrap pant suits, while poodles, lime wedges, tennis rackets and palm trees are scrap-booked across an array of tees, sweaters and swing dresses. Of course no Gorman collection would be complete without accompanying accessories and we're absolutely in love with the funky soft foil leather metallic boots and dalmation sandals. The collection is in stores and online now, with more pieces dropping periodically until late October.
