WHERE: Southside Tea Room (639 Wynnum Rd, Morningside QLD) WHEN: 7pm, June 28th 2013 Popular Brisbane illustrator Lauren Carney has teamed up with designer Rachel Burke of online fashion blog i make. you wear it. to produce a quirky, hand-made, clothing collection, due for release at the end of this month. Their work together is all in pursuit of raising funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association of Queensland. The duo have spent the last 6 weeks collaborating on the project, which will launch in a burst of colour and whimsy at the Southside Tea Room on June 28th. The collection marks the first in what will be a series of bi-monthly collections produced by Burke, each with the goal of raising money for a different charity. Expressed demand for the garments suggests that the collection will sell out online, which will be released for purchase in an online auction at midnight on the 28th of June. WHAT: TRACK & FIELD
