WHAT: Horse Sword by Ghostpatrol
WHERE: Koskela (1/85 Dunning Ave, Rosebery, Sydney) WHEN: Runs from 31st May until 6th July Koskela is proud to present "Horse Sword" an exhibition of new work, research and ideas about the periphery of a studio practice, from Melbourne-based artist Ghostpatrol. These ideas are usually drawn on the margins of sketchbook pages, and usually forgotten in preference for more 'polished' works – or dot a studio as usable objects. All these peripheries rarely make it outside the din of an artists' studio, until now - where they come to form their own body of work. Pop down to Koskela for a chance to meet and chat with Ghostpatrol at the afternoon opening on May 31st. WHAT: Markit@FedSquare

WHERE: Modern Eden Gallery (403 Francisco Street, San Francisco, CA ) WHEN: Saturday 8th March from 6-10pm Modern Eden Gallery is pleased to announce Hollerbound, a solo exhibition from the master of marmots, Henry Schreiber. Schreiber creates mischievous, endearing, and personified marmots in a classical painting style resulting in a delightful fusion of academic portraiture and comic imagery. This show portrays ways of being in and of the landscape. Similar to being spellbound, “Hollerbound” reflects a feeling of being both drawn to and trapped in a particular place and time. These paintings are the reflection of a wandering soul inevitably returning to the Holler... but really, they are funny paintings of groundhogs. The exhibition will be on display through March 22nd and is open to the public. |
