Melbourne vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Hamish Anderson is our latest indie discovery and we're pretty sure you guys are going to dig this talented chap, because we sure do! Hamish has just announced the release of his new single, Winter - a hauntingly beautiful ballad that shows elegant restraint and maturity well beyond Hamish’s youthful twenty-two years. With a tender melody and pretty folk guitar gently driving the song, it was Hamish's raw vocal delivery that really caught our attention. Winter will be avaliable on iTunes on December 6th but for the meantime you can have a listen to it here. We also suggest checking out the full EP here.

London-based indie folk trio, Daughter recently released their long-awaited debut album, If You Leave. A truly powerful album that touches on themes of doubt, insecurity, fear, anger and loneliness. Musically, Daughter balance an intricate interplay between vocal, guitar and rhythm section. We were instantly captivated by Elena's ethereal vocals and staggeringly beautiful lyrics, not to mention the haunting guitar riffs and drum placements. Our favourite tracks include 'Youth', 'Still' and 'Human'. You can stream the album online here or buy it here.
Brisbane’s The Belligerents are back with a brand new single called ‘All I Have’, the first lifted from a forthcoming EP release, and are now proud to announce a July/August tour to support. Having already a laid a strong foundation with 2010’s debut EP release Less Arty, More Party and its follow-up She Calls The Shots, The Belligerents’ sound has progressed even further into the indie-dance arena with the self-produced ‘All I Have’. It is indeed the perfect next step for the band, fusing a glitzy disco groove with the band’s uncanny ability to pen an infectious hook and aiming it straight at the dance floor in a way that might remind you of Django Django, Miike Snow and Tame Impala teaming up for a super-jam. Armed with a second to none live show, The Belligerents have built their legacy around a good time aesthetic.
