Tara O Brien is a Dublin-based illustrator whose work is not only super cute but also brilliantly provocative. Subdued colour palettes, bold shapes and subtle textures are thoughtfully used to help promote and celebrate important topics such as female empowerment, body positivity and racial diversity, in not only the art world but in wider society. Tara's work frequently portrays women of all shapes, sizes and ethnicities, contributing to political and social issues raised by movements such as March For Choice, #MeToo and Black Lives Matter. In 2013, Tara graduated from the Dublin Institute of Technology with an honours degree in Visual Communications and has since created work for publications and art projects such as Dublin Canvas, Cara Magazine and The C Project.
