Jade Purple Brown is a New York-based visual artist using graphic design, illustration & art direction to create playful and vibrant content for fashion, beauty, and art based brands.
Originally wanting to pursue a career in styling, Jade studied Fashion Marketing and Management at The Illinois Institute of Art, Chicago. During her time there, she started playing around with design programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and soon realised that her true passion was Graphic Design.Featuring bold colour palettes, quirky motifs and strong female figures, Jade’s illustrations have a distinctly 1970s retro appeal about them; a scroll through her vibrant portfolio is like diving headfirst into a design magazine from the 1970s. Jade has created content for the likes of Macy’s, Facebook, Refinery 29, ALDO Group, Brit + Co, Apartment Therapy, Zappos, Lenny Letter and Vans. When she isn't working on her freelance projects she works full time as a Digital Designer & Art Director, at the luxury beauty brand, Moroccanoil. Alba Blázquez is a 28-year-old illustrator and graphic designer from Madrid, Spain. Inspired by the world around her, Alba’s playful tongue-in-cheek imagery approaches the notion of female sexuality with humor and curiosity, in an attempt to break the stigmas that exist around it. Alba notes "in my house, the subject of sexuality has always been taboo and I, like all children, discovered it little by little. I think I have been unknowingly exploring that sexual self-discovery through my drawings." Skateboarding vaginas, dancing wolves and naked ladies riding dolphins are just some of the intriguing characters that can be seen throughout Alba’s weird and wonderful portfolio.
