Marnie Hawson is a self-taught freelance photographer living in the Macedon Ranges just outside of Melbourne, Australia. Beginning her career as an environmental scientist, she now works in an array of photographic disciplines including food, interiors, products and editorial imagery. With a love for capturing the little moments, the unnoticed and the finer details, Marnie creates minimalist and authentic imagery soaked in neutral and organic tones. With a strong photo-journalism approach to her work, this multi-talented lass certainly knows how to capture the beauty in the everyday.
Our favourite project of hers would have to be 'An Honest Trade' - a sincere and candid series based on 20 interesting and unusual tradesman/ladies whose trade involves manual labour and hard work.
