Matthieu Venot is a French photographer who creates colourful and graphic imagery by abstracting the urban environment that surrounds him. Matthieu's careful composition see's lines intersect and colours overlap until viewers are left wondering what exactly it is that they are looking at. Focusing on the part rather than the whole, walls, stairwells and balconies are deliberately cropped out to reveal simplistic patterns and colours that look like they belong in a Wes Anderson film.
