 WHAT: 'Surrocodelia' opening
WHERE: Platform72 (72 Oxford Street, Sydney) WHEN: Friday 9th Nov from 6-8pm Platform 72 is pleased to announce the latest exhibition from Sydney based artist and designer Victoria Garcia. Garcia is well known throughout Australia for her exquisite feminine aesthetic that has come to make her one of the most sought after young illustrators and textile designers working today. Surrocodelia opens Friday 9th November 2012 from 6-8pm. Having worked with such names as Ginger and Smart, Peter Alexander, Lisa Ho, Marnie Skillings and Karen Walker, Garcia’s signature style is becoming highly recognizable for her hand-drawn, whimsical approach to pattern and image. Having recently been awarded the Sir William Dobell Foundation Award for Drawing in 2011, for the first incarnation of the Surrocodelia installation, Garcia invites the viewer to step inside a magical and highly detailed world of fantasy and wonder.
