Estée Preda is a Romanian-born illustrator whose quirky imagery is heavily inspired by the enchanting folk tales of Hans Christian Andersen and Brothers Grimm. Currently residing in a forest outside of Québec city, Canada, Estée uses watercolour, gouache, ink and a pinch of whimsy to create surreal narratives that are both delicate and complex. Colourful creatures including skateboarding ghost-cats and bat ladies are just some of the whimsical beings to inhabit her fantastic mythological wonderland.
Estée has shown her work in a number of exhibitions and created work for publications and brands such as The Globe and Mail, Twik, La Maison Simons, Flow Magazine, Society6 and Tattly. Head to her website or instagram to see more of her dreamy work.
