Katherine Tromans is a creative and colourful designer living and working in Birmingham, England. With a degree in Illustration from Arts University Bournemouth, Katherine creates intricate and dreamy fashion illustrations as well as beautiful surreal landscapes. We especially like her 2011 series 'Paradise' which explores the theme of paradise by interpreting different people's descriptions of their own individual paradise and then transforming them into otherworldly landscapes.

New York based self taught artist Aurel Schmidt creates intricate drawings made out of cleverly arranged food, body parts, rubbish and day-to-day objects like coke cans and mobile phones. Beauty is a huge element within Aurel's work, everything she draws is drawn with a certain love for the subject and always, no matter how cynical or dark, a definite humour. By using the dregs of our lives as the building blocks for her subjects, Aurel's work becomes a reminder of our own vulnerability and mortality.

Milan-based artist Marco Mazzoni, works almost exclusively with colored pencils to create intricate drawings that depict the cycles of nature and worlds based heavily in Italian folklore. His most frequent subjects are drawings of flora and fauna that seem to be consuming the face of a woman whose eyes we never see. Marco consciously leaves out the eyes so viewers don't consider the artwork as a portrait, but instead a still life, where all elements have equal importance.

After finishing her degree in Graphic Design in 2001, Montreal-based illustrator Isabelle Arsenault, quickly began contributing to several magazines in Canada and in the US. A couple of years later she illustrated her first children's book, for which she received the prestigious Governor General's Award for children's literature in French (illustration). Her passion for illustrated books has led her to continue pursuing this path and creating work that attracts the attention of the young as much as that of older people, who can sometimes have a more in-depth understanding of it.
