Emerging photographer, Lani Dafter left school at 14 and begun a creative exploration of the world around her. Her portrait series titled 'diary of youth' documents her friends and investigates the perspective of time and youth and the inevitably of its expiration. Her most recent work has moved into the innocence and beauty of nudity in the environment, illustrating our vulnerabilities and stating the importance of disconnecting from society by removing external components we use to define us. Lani's work has been featured in Frankie magazine and will also be published in the 2012 Semi Permanent book. We have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot more from this young creative in the years to come. Add Comment |
