Aesthetically, Anna's works evoke mystery, elegance and emptiness - which she claims, sparks from her wild childhood in the North of Sweden; surrounded by forests, lakes, and ghostly spirits. Anna recently shot the Autumn/Winter 2012 collection for Swedish label, Mes Dames. Inspired by 20th Century oil paintings, there's a beautiful sense of melancholy within the photographs, that we find so intriguing. Her experimental post-processing actions and multi-layered forums compliment the striking poses and gestures of her subjects in such a beautiful way. Mariana not only describes herself as a fashion photographer but a collector - and strives to create images that she would herself, like to collect. She's been published in a variety of publications including Flawless Magazine. We have a feeling we'll see a lot more of her in years to come. To see more of Mariana's work head to her website here Twenty-three year old French photographer and illustrator, Sonia Cavallini, has captivated us with her awe inspiring film photographs. Each image she takes swallows you whole and transports you to the exact moments they were taken. Leaving you in a weightless world full of girls with red lips and bedrooms kissed with soft light. One of Pony Anarchy's favourite photographers Katie Eleanor, has a new series up - Annie the Hatter. We really dig how she's taken the otherwise generic 'mad hatter' idea and turned it into something a little more delicate and interesting. The blurred images, double exposure and colours are really beautiful and well thought-out. Valerie Chiang's photographs embody a strong sense of melancholy despite their soft, light tones. We love these particular images from her folio - the location, styling and composition all fit together so perfectly. View her flickr here For any artist the ability to turn the most simple and seemingly uninteresting subject matter into something truly beautiful, is a priceless gift. It's not something you can just learn at the drop of a hat because it requires you too view the world from a certain perspective. When you look at his images, it is clear that 23-year-old Berlin photographer and documenter of life, Jörn Schirok has that unique talent of turning the ordinary into the extraordinary. We hope these photographs inspire you to find the beauty in the most unexpected places. You can see more of Jorn's work on his blog Portugal based photographer/film maker Adriano Sodré, not only takes photographs, but also captures the souls of the people in them. Each image is fused together by the romantic and ethereal feelings of nostalgia, distorting your sense of reality. Not only do you see the raw emotion, you feel it. His ability to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary is something we really appreciate and admire in a photographer. Eva González López, aka EvitaWeed was born in the Jaen provence in Andalusia, Spain in 1986. After experimenting with photography as a hobby, Eva decided to move to Granada in 2002 to study photography a little more seriously. As Eva began to learn more and more she began to see photography as a medium through which she could translate feelings and sensations perceived as light and turn those into tangible realities on paper. Eva's work is easily distinguishable through her astonishing use of natural light and soft delicate tones. We love her series 'The Swamp'. She truely has an eye for beauty! To see more of Evas work head over to her flickr. We recently came across the Taiwanese photographer RICO, and fell deeply in love with his work. His bizarre concepts and use of natural light are distinguishing elements when viewing his portfolio. So far his work has been featured on a few websites around the web, including Ben Trovato, and been printed in a couple of niche magazines, but we have a sneaky feeling his work is going to be seen more and more in the future. |
