 Russian fashion designer Ulyana Sergeenko, is my favourite person in fashion right now. Her style is so elegant and feminine but quirky and cool at the same time. Not too long ago she released her debut fall/winter 2011 collection. It's almost as if it's a modern-retro version of the fairytale character, Red Riding Hood. With floor-grazing maxi skirts, corseted waist-belts and woolen headgear, Ulyana combines the 1940s and the charming aesthetic of the Victorian era. I can imagine feeling like a Russian princess in her clothes, because really, that's what she looks like herself.  Do you like wooden jewelry and woodland creatures? Because we do! Elgar & Lyle is a funky Melbourne based jewelry label quite different to anything else around at the moment. Through the use of materials like recycled laminate, elastic, and different types of timber, they aim to explore the convergence of digital and traditional techniques. The Woodland collection includes beautiful fox necklaces made from a variety of timber species, and is inlaid with laminate or brass inserts.
